The iprovision fun casino at the 2018 CIPR Excellence Awards raised a record £3,450 for the charity.
Many of the 600 plus attendees at this years’ awards ‘bought’ fun money used to play the roulette and black jack tables. The player who has the most money at the end of the evening wins the prize – this year it was a £125 Virgin Experience voucher.
This years’ winner Helen Keefe, Director of Marketing, Communications & Development at Manchester Metropolitan University, said: “The fun casino wasn’t just a great part of the after awards activities, it was a really good way for iprovision to raise funds for what is after all our industry charity. I’m looking forward to choosing which of the 103 ‘Virgin Experiences’ to enjoy.”
All the money raised goes to the charity which has been supporting PR professionals and their families who hit hard times due to illness, disability, unemployment or bereavement for over 50 years. iprovision trustee David Sanders, who organised the fundraiser added: “The success of this year’s casino is down to the tremendous generosity of those attending the Excellence Awards along with the great support we received from a number of CIPR past and future Presidents who worked the room selling the fun money. It provided a healthy return against the costs we incurred providing the casino.”
