Stylish stationery from B-Corp companies
To celebrate National Stationery Week, here’s six brilliant B-Corp brands crafting eco-friendly notebooks, planners, and journals – perfect for sustainable minded PR events and goodie bags.
As PR professionals, we all know the power of a great goodie bag – but it’s time to rethink what we’re gifting. Here’s some eco-friendly alternatives from certificated B-Corp – businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance. From upcycled bags to ethical products, it’s about offering gifts that are both memorable and meaningful, without adding to the landfill. This is how we give better.

Paper On The Rocks

“We decided to smash the way stationery is made to pulp,” say Netherlands-based sustainable stationers, and certified B-Corp, Paper On The Rocks. As good as their word, their high-quality notebooks are made using tree-free, eco-friendly materials such as construction rubble and agricultural waste, with vegetable oil-based inks – “ideal for writers, creatives, professionals, and anyone that wants to change the world by the stroke of a pen.” Check out their Hardcover Pecore Luxe Stone Paper notebooks, softcover ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ diary, or International Women’s Day postcard set.

Karst

“What we do today matters,” says certified B-Corp, Karst. “Intention and action shape the future.” Founded in 2016 in Sydney with a purpose-driven approach, they offer eco-friendly, high-quality notebooks and stationery made from sustainably recycled stone. Their mission: to create the best possible tools for those who want to shape the future, while reducing environmental impact. For PR professionals, we recommend their Ultimate Journal box set for managing projects, the Woodless Pencils for brainstorming, or the Softcover Notebook for daily note taking.
Wrendale

“We’re passionate about using business as a force for good,” says Wrendale Designs, a Lincolnshire-based, proudly certified B-Corp. Committed to sustainability and ethics (along with a four-day working week, minimum living wages, and responsible sourcing) they produce super-cute wildlife-inspired stationery and gifts, such as their Highland Cow spiral bound A5 notebook, the bestselling Stationery Gift Bundle for gift-giving, or the Garden Friends pen. Says Wrendale, “We believe that when our employees thrive, our company thrives.” Accordingly, their charming products are full of love.
Ohh Deer

Trading since 2011, Leicestershire greeting card and stationery company Ohh Deer became B-Corp certified in August. Founded by Jamie Mitchell and Mark Callaby, this LGBTQ+ run business focuses on supporting artists and “creating awesome products”. The pair, who met at Kingston university, have worked with charities such as Tree Aid and Eden Reforestation to plant over 150,000 trees. They were the second company in the UK to ditch plastic from their greeting cards. Ooh Deer’s online shop is stacked with items for all budgets, including products for under a fiver. Among the goodies to catch our eye are the El Camino linen notebooks, the summery Sunrise Scallops mini gift bag, and the Papergang range of themed stationery boxes carefully curated with everything from perfect planners to stylish sticky notes .
Red-Inc

From its base in Littlehampton, Red-Inc proudly boasts that it’s the UK’s first B-Corp certified office products company. With its bumper catalogue of office supplies, the company was founded with an ethos of being greener; the company has been carbon neutral since 2015 and donates at least 0.5% of revenue to support charitable causes that protect the planet
Many items are too large to fit in a goody bag (though they could make a nice gift – coffee maker anyone?) but there’s an assortment of delights including branded merchandise, journals and laptop cases. Boosting the company’s green credentials further, Red-Inc’s website includes a testimonial from the children’s organic-food brand Ella’s Kitchen, lauding its vision and purpose. Meanwhile, the operations manager of conservation charity WWF (UK) is quoted as being excited to help Red-Inc on its mission.
HelloPrint

Headquartered in Rotterdam and Valencia, Europe’s leading platform for customisable print and merchandise products, the B-Corp certified HelloPrint is committed to sustainable, eco-friendly printing solutions. Their range of personalised stationery includes eco-conscious business cards, notepads, and notebooks, perfect for conferences or client meetings. Plus, calendars, mugs, and custom pens.

Moyu

Netherlands-located B-Corp MOYU is on a mission to change the paper industry, by saving trees. “We thought long and hard and decided it was time to do something about it. We looked back through history for inspiration and found a better way… we reimagined everyday paper notebooks by using stone paper.” Made without water, bleach (and of course trees), highlights include their Erasable notebooks and the Back to Stone collection.
