The Pelligon, Canary Wharf

Named after its legendary architect César Pelli (but also, you know, ‘Pelicans’), this dazzling art deco jewel features a jaw-dropping 27 metre glass dome that bathes the whole space in natural light. The main hall comfortably holds up to 750 standing guests or 516 seated, while upstairs, the mezzanine gallery (capacity 250 standing) looks down on the buzz below. Greenwich Yacht Club 

Entirely built on the Thames and located between the O2 arena and Thames Barrier in south-east London, this riverside stunner really knows how to make a splash. Founded in 1908 as a working club by Thames watermen, it’s a show-stopping location for standout launches and corporate gigs.
