Seven of the best Christmas hampers to send to PR clients or colleagues

From a Bettys bounty to a Harrods hoard, here are our picks of this season’s finest food hampers …

The Night Before Christmas Hamper, Harrods

A tin of gingerbread men, hot chocolate, fizzy Christmas tree gummies, a nutcracker praline bar, brownie balls cracker, a chocolate-covered raisin house and a cereal balls tree comprise this confectionary-heavy wicker basket – all harvested from the luxury department store’s Food Hall. This being Harrods, the beneficiary will also get a sturdy Harrods wicker basket once they’ve scoffed its contents (which shouldn’t take them very long). Price: £100

The Artisan Christmas Wicker Hamper, The Goodness Project

Whether it’s watching your family tuck into a big turkey carcass at the table or finding holiday treats made from dairy or eggs in their stocking, Christmas can be challenging for vegans and non-meat-eaters. Fortunately, The Goodness Project has a range of vegan and gluten-free hampers, such as the evergreen popular Artisan Christmas Wicker Hamper. Not only do recipients get 12 plant-based treats, from minced pies to champagne-flavoured jam, but Goodness Project plants a tree with every order, spreading even more goodwill this season. Price: £75

The Yorkshire Dales Hamper, Bettys

Everybody in Yorkshire knows (and loves) Bettys, the tearoom empire famous for their legendary Fat Rascal scones and white-aproned staff balancing plates while scurrying up narrow staircases at their cafes which stretch from Harrogate to York. Their commitment to quality is reflected in this bounty designed to make every patriotic and/or homesick Yorkshireperson’s heart swell with pride. Inside, there’s local gingerbread, shortbread, tea fruit cake, Betty’s chocolate buttons, delicate langues de chat (French biscuits) plus 80 teabags of Betty’s iconic Tea Room blend. Price: £100

The Cotswolds Christmas Hamper, Daylesford

If JD Vance wants a seasonal memento of his summer stay in the Cotswolds, he could do worse than have this portable pantry – all featuring food from the A-list-loving region – delivered to his DC home. With Daylesford also chucking in crackers and a festive candle, it’s like an Xmas romcom à la The Holiday bundled up in a wicker basket. Daylesford – founded as an organic farm shop in the Cotswolds by Lady Carole Bamford 20 years ago – also has a Christmas party hamper and advent calendars available on its website too. Price: £500

House of Bruar Banquet Hamper

It says ‘banquet’ on the tin and this indulgent hamper from the upscale Perthshire tweed specialist’s food hall truly is a festive blowout worthy of a glutinous old Scottish baron. There’s a magnum of Champagne, a bottle of 10-year-old House of Bruar malt whisky, Highland Cow salted caramel fudge, two fruit cakes, a Dalgetty Clootie Dumpling (anyone?), a phalanx of pates and cheeses, plus haggis too (obviously). You might also want to tuck a packet of Gaviscon in too. Price: £595

Their seasonal offerings span elaborate £150 Christmas hampers to festive flapjack boxes, which at under £20 a box, make perfect gifts for colleagues.
