And the kick off to a year of celebration, reflection and reaffirmation. In 1948 the Institute of Public Relations was formed by a group of like-minded, local government practitioners who wanted to move from an era of propaganda and create a PR industry that could be relied on to convey truth. I was privileged to join over 150 guests at St Bride's Church in a service of commemoration and celebration of the past 75 years. It was a joyous occasion with heart lifting music and impactful speeches. "As organisations are held to account by a society that expects more and more, the search for public relations people of wisdom, competence and integrity increases too," said Anne Gregory.
