WELCOME

to the Winter issue of Influence

There's been a post going round by psychologist Naomi Holdt. She answers why everyone is exhausted: "We crawled into 2022 still carrying shock, trauma, grief, heaviness, disbelief… And then it began… The fastest hurricane year we could ever have imagined."

I would think this resonates with pretty much everyone reading this and, for communications professionals, as this issue shows, there has been an added layer - of activist storytelling. This fast paced, volatile year has been one of strategy and severity and PR has played such a central role in recovery and change.

I hope you get a chance to rest, relax and reflect on all you have achieved. Please raise a glass to yourselves!

Here's to a healthy and happy 2023.
