What does your current role involve?
As a communications and engagement executive, I provide high quality communication services that align with the organisation’s corporate goals and initiatives.
I am committed and excited about supporting Northern Ireland's ambitions for renewable energy and sustainable development. I oversee all elements of significant events and stakeholder engagements.
I am deeply passionate about improving the company’s reputation and fostering engagement both online and in person with the public and stakeholders.
What do you love most about working in public relations?
No two days are alike, it's a dynamic and thrilling role that constantly presents opportunities for learning and growth.
What's been the highlight of your career so far?
I led an internal communications campaign aimed at ‘enhancing senior leadership visibility' at my previous organisation, which earned a silver award at the CIPR Pride Awards in 2023.
How long have you been a member and what made you join?
I have only joined CIPR in March. I was encouraged by my manager and colleagues to join as it’s an excellent way to network, learn and develop both personally and professionally.
How does the CIPR support your career?
I have discovered a wealth of valuable resources and guides from the CIPR that will significantly enhance my career. I have already enrolled in several training courses.
The CIPR offers a fantastic opportunity to stay updated with the latest information and advance my continuous professional development (CPD).
Best piece of career advice you’ve been given?
Have patience and always be willing to learn, every day is a school day!
